Facilitated Retreats

Can provide inspiration for the whole team

A day away... or even longer

Taking individuals and teams away from their ordinary workplace environment where they are able to detach from the stress and strain of everyday work frees up a lot of mental space. When conducting a meeting in the office, people often interrupt, phones go off, and the general mindset of those attending can be very distracted. Take your employees away on a retreat, where they're encouraged to concentrate solely on the task at hand, and you’ll begin to see levels of performance you never knew were possible.

Overcome Organizational Obstacles

When faced with challenging organizational problems, it is essential to take a step back from the situation and develop a deeper understanding of the root causes.  Often, the issue preventing growth and success are internal challenges, such as an incorrect distribution of resources including staff.
Whatever the obstacles to success, there’s no better strategy  than gathering all of the key personnel together to resolve the situation.  Communication  can be free flowing in this environment, and this can be invaluable when trying to overcome complex problems which involve a wide range of people.

Create a Collective Vision for Company Success

A concerted focus on success is one of the most powerful tools in business, and on a retreat you can develop specific team building activities that will foster this drive and help your employees realize how important their collaboration is for a business' growth.
Away from their daily workplace stresses, you’re more likely to be able to sell them a vision of what’s possible if everyone in the company pulls together in the same direction. Increase their motivation and productivity and they will infect their employees with this vision.
Retreats give employees time to evaluate the workplace model and to think creatively about what could be improved as well as creating new concepts

Introduce Change and Its Accompanying Needs

Through a retreat, key leaders processing the implications of a change ensures that the changes are seen as a positive thing for the business and its employees.
Taking time away from the ordinary work schedule to run through the proposed changes, the reasoning behind it, and the best way to move forward will give people a chance to give their input and ideas, and work through any issues that arise. The odds of creating a successful change in your workplace are much higher if you approach it in manner that gets managers on-board before it’s introduced in real time. A team of highly enthusiastic managers enforcing change  are sure to boost the performance of any company.

Using a professional facilitator

The presence of an independent facilitator, briefed by the team leader, ensures that time is well spent and all individuals are able to participate fully. This is also an opportunity to bring in external expertise or to introduce scenarios arising from technological, political or environmental issues.
In many organizations an annual corporate retreat is routine, for progress reviews, strategy and budget preparation, or for 'blue sky' thinking.
For teams whose members are based at different sites, the collection of key contributors is an important feature.
Professionally run, a facilitated corporate retreat pays dividends.
